Analysis

In the phase of analysis, relevant conditions of the research field are studied in detail, e.g., target groups and application areas, existing and potential technologies, and solutions. Questions and requirements are elicited in the problem domain, they are described in detail and related to the initial assumptions and objectives of the project. Potential project risks must be assessed.
A perspective based on gender and diversity aspects can help to capture the diversity of user groups and contexts. It is advisable to involve the target group in the analysis process. This phase provides a sound basis to decide which factors and requirements should be incorporated into systems development.
